Teach Bike Mechanic Classes

11 Aug
Do you love bikes – and teaching people about bikes? Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop is a nonprofit community bike shop in Everett, Wash. We offer basic and advanced bike mechanic classes about once a month – when we have someone to teach them!
If you know bikes and have some teaching experience, our bike class curriculum, tools, and shop space are ready for you. We also have lists of interested potential students to contact. Class schedule can be based on your availability – classes are usually on weeknights (6 to 9:30 p.m.) or during the day on a weekend. You can read about our classes on our website.
This job is for you if you want to help people fix their own bikes, and help our nonprofit bike shop build volunteers and goodwill. Pay is $15 an hour, covering class time plus 2 hours prep/clean-up time per class session.
To apply or learn more, send a cover letter describing your bike mechanic and teaching experience, recent job or volunteer experience, and contact information for three references to:
Board member Kristin Kinnamon, bikenbus @ (remove spaces).
